Peer Support Groups

NAMI Connection Support Groups are now
held each week of the month in different locations around the county.
Ten facilitators, all NAMI Montgomery
County members have been trained by NAMI to facilitate NAMI Connections
support groups for persons who live with mental illness. Most
facilitators are Certified Peer Specialists.

Compeer Program of Suburban Philadelphia
The Compeer Program of Suburban Philadelphia has been making new friends
for adults in mental health recovery since 1991. We are one of many programs
in 33 states and Canada. We match caring, trained volunteers with adults in
one-on-one, same-gender, co-equal friendships in Delaware and Montgomery
Counties. We accept written referrals from local mental health care
providers and their support programs.
